Brenda's family roots here are pretty solid, proud of her Shawnee heritage of family living in the Ohio River Valley area since before recorded history. Born and raised in a farming family in Guernsey County, she spent nearly two decades working in supply and support for others. Learning the values of hard work and doing the job right.
In 2005, she and her future husband Joe, started down their own path. Together they built Beagle Hill Farms from scratch..."with only a wheelbarrow and a shovel" as the cover story of the Farm and Dairy March 2011 notes. During this time Brenda sharpened her knowledge of carpentry, field and site development and construction techniques.
With perseverance, quality, and dedication, together they built one of Ohio's most recognized forage and beef farms. Producing and marketing premium hay throughout the eastern US, the Beagle Hill badge became known for quality.
